"Strange. Dark. Evolving. Unsettling. Weird." All of these things are perfect descriptors for Atom Hub's Kontakt Library The Planet - Deep Scan (henceforth known as Deep Scan). Deep Scan does a great job at carving out its own unique place in the sample library market, by perfectly setting a vibe and executing on it in every way. The library provides a level of immersion and almost plays like a composition in its own right. "Is IT communicating with us? Is IT... living? Who are THEY? Is there ANYBODY at all?" The Sounds Its probably better if you just take a listen...

Square Saw Sound has created a stunning pair of Kontakt libraries for their launch. Based on the incredibly rare EMS VCS3 and the EMS Polysynthi, these libraries will produce sounds you are very unlikely to find anywhere else. In the case of the Polysynthi, only 30 of the units were ever produced which makes this an incredible find by Square Saw Sound to preserve this amazing instrument in time. This is Square Saw Sound's first release, and it has me incredibly exciting for where they'll be going in future releases! Buy each of these libraries now from Square Saw Sound...

ThePhonoLoop is a small team of sound designers with a fondness for vintage sounds. If you've never heard of them, it might be because they're part of the underground world of Kontakt developers that mostly release libraries for the Full version of Kontakt (not Kontakt Player) - a world that i'm also in with Genera Studios releases. After a series of very cryptic social media messages in the past few days, Spitfire Audio has sent out a free download via email with a demo Kontakt library called the Kepler Orchestra. Now the library has been full launched, and they've done some incredible things in regards to combining orchestral samples with pre-written loops. The Kepler Orchestra is built on the foundation of their Evolution Grid, allowing the user to select various articulations and 'moods' for different sections of the keyboard, resulting in some pretty amazing patterns as you play. The second type of patch included in the Kepler...

Spitfire Studio Woodwinds is the third and final release of Spitfire Audio's incredible Studio Orchestral range of Kontakt libraries. As you might imagine by the name, this time around they're providing woodwind instruments sampled in a studio environment. I've reviewed both the Spitfire Studio Brass library and the Spitfire Studio Strings library on this blog as well, and I had incredibly high regards for both of them. Just like the previous releases Spitfire Studio Woodwinds comes in two flavors: standard and professional. They're available for $199 and $399 full retail price, respectively, but are on sale now for $149 and...
